I’m Jay, founder of Wander Africa.
A third-generation Kenyan, and a second-generation safari designer and tour operator.
My love for the continent, the wilderness, the people, and the inherent spirituality of Africa continues to be a shining light in my life. That shining light is what led to Wander Africa. To me, this is not a company, it is a living breathing being that brings so much joy into my life. A being that strives to be a part of the solution for conservation, empowering community, and protecting the lands we share on this earth.
Brandi and I get to spend a few months of the year exploring Africa’s most exclusive properties, building new relationships, and testing new adventures and experiences throughout the continent. This keeps Africa at arm’s length to us, keeping us in the know, up to date, and present, even though we call the U.S home.
Despite our growth, we maintain our authenticity, our approachability, and our love for what we do. Wander Africa is just an extension of who we are, and the relationships and partnerships we have built within the industry. No red tape, no agents on commissions, no quota to reach, and certainly no compromise in our standards and dedication.
We are grateful to you for following us on this journey of exposing the magic within Africa to the world and doing your part in contributing positively to what we care about.
